Humanity.FM was a social impact project started in 2013. It’s goal was to reward those who do good in the world and allow them to have recognition. As a effective altruist who follows the discipline of doing the most good one can do while respecting and supporting others with less. It’s important to find a way in which you can impact and help those less fortunate. From missions down in Costa Rica volunteering and bringing food and clothing to an orphanage, to visiting the mountains of Peru and providing school supplies, hygiene products, and computers, to feeding and clothing an entire village in Cambodia I’ve found that you get some of the most happiness in your life by bringing joy to others. It’s a crossroads for the EA movement but you can visit GiveWell.com and this organization searches for the charities that save or improve the lives the most per dollar. Their goal is to produce the world’s top research on where to give. Free, for everyone they only recommend a small number of charities that do an incredible amount of good. By following their lead and donating to them you don’t have to do the research on where to maximize donations but can do a donation to here and find your own mission to help. Today Humanity can be showcased by your actions and you can be rewarded intrinsically.
